Stomach ache.
Hi. I’m using a recipe I got from you, Ayla, before Evighetshunden’s Kitchen. She needs a very low-fat diet; she reacts with severe stomach ache if she eats anything fatty. She’s on a 5 per cent fat diet. She found a lamb treat from our puppy and got a very sore stomach, so I think her pancreas is reacting. She’s supposed to have 2 g of Avutal Nutrient every day; I think she reacts to that as well, and I’ve tried Aniforte – she seems to get stomach ache from that too. And she needs vitamin supplements in the recipe I got from you. She weighs t kg. I tried the recipe here with lean saithe; it seems she reacted to that as well. And if she gets too much sweet food, she gets stomach ache, acid reflux and burping, so I have to give her lots of small meals a day. I’m really at a loss now. Can I give her this? Best wishes, Hege and Nani
- Hi Hege ❤️ Sorry you haven’t received a reply until now! I’ve been on parental leave and haven’t been active here for a while. I can see it’s been a while since you wrote, so how is Nani doing now? 🙏🏼 What’s she eating these days, and have you found anything she tolerates better? Best wishes, Ayla ☘️
- She’s doing alright now; she’s being fed rice.Sweet potato, carrot, blueberries, dried liver and dried beef heart, plus Avital vitamins, nutrients and calcium every day. I’ve started mixing in a bit of potato as well, as I’m not keen on giving her too much rice. I’ve also tried giving her more sweet potato instead, but that doesn’t work – she gets wind and a bit of a tummy ache. I was advised to try a bit of turkey with the meatballs. I tried it with the meatballs, as it says in the recipe, but then she gags. And she sticks her tongue out into the air. She does that too if her meals are too big, so she’s having lots of small meals a day now. She’s only 5 kg – such a tiny dog. I’d like to try the Aniforte vitamins again so she gets natural vitamins instead of synthetic ones. So she has to…
- Hi Ayla. I’ve been giving Nani Avital from Nutrient, based on the old recipe you used before you started this. It seems that the multivitamin has run out; I can’t get any more, and the recipe is calculated based on that supplement. I’ve tried the BARF supplement you have, but I think she’s reacting to it. Could you please recommend a supplement she needs to go with the recipe you made, so she gets everything she needs?
- Can this be used? She gets vital calcium from Vital Nutrient. I can see there’s calcium and phosphorus in this – if it can be used, should she take calcium in addition to this multivitamin as well?
- Could you please note down: a) all the ingredients Nani currently receives over the course of a day b) all supplements and their quantities c) how long she has been on her current diet d) whether you give her anything else as well? For example, dry food or wet food? e) how many meals she has a day Then I can give you a better answer on what you should do next ☘️
- Over 7 days She gets rice, 700 grams of pork chops Sweet potato 154 g Carrot 154 g Beef liver from Pala 40 g.(she’s given dried versions, so I’m unsure of the exact amount, but approx. 1–2 g per day) Dried beef heart, 1 piece every day (here, 1 piece from Pala every day) Blueberries, 35 g Hemp seeds(she reacts to fat) Wheat germ oil (she reacts to fat) Omega-3 (she reacts to fat) I give her a little green-lipped mussel – that’s fine. Avital Nutrient Powder, 2 g per day Avital Calcium, 1.5 g every day. Nani weighs 5 kg.
