Can the puppy eat lamb’s lettuce?

Hi! I made lamb stew with a mixture of pork and turkey instead of lamb, just for a change. I also used a mixture of basil, flat-leaf parsley and coriander instead of just basil. My dog refuses to eat it, so my question is: Can I give this to a friend who has a 6-month-old puppy? Could I perhaps add something extra so that the puppy will eat it? It’s a shame to have to throw it away.

• Hi Elisabeth 🙂 It’s probably not a problem as long as the puppy isn’t fed this regularly over time. Puppies have different nutritional requirements to adult dogs, including a higher calcium requirement due to growth. But giving a puppy a little lamb's offal as an occasional "snack" is no problem 🍖
